The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology is a cooperative group established in 1991 to promote excellence in the teaching and learning of mathematics, science, and technology. Historically, CeMaST has focused on integrating the disciplines, although the Center is not limited to that approach.
CeMaST has built on Illinois State University's heritage of service to schools in Illinois, and throught the nation, established at its founding in 1857. Illinois State is one of the Midwest's oldest institutions of higher education, and was the first public university in Illinois. CeMaST is a natural extension of the University's acclaimed programs in mathematics, science, and technology education.
